Samuel has recently joined the First National team, bringing 20 years of commercial real estate financing expertise, including positions with two Canadian chartered banks and a private lender. Throughout his two decades in the industry, he has built a strong network of real estate investors and developers and was involved in the origination of more than $4 billion in financing across all asset classes.
From the start of his career, Samuel was passionate about helping people. He began working in banking while at university. Eventually he transitioned into commercial, motivated by the opportunity to help developers and investors reach their goals. As he evolved his career, Samuel earned a reputation for finding creative solutions while investing deeply in the client experience. Project dynamics, client enthusiasm, applying precedents and thinking with clients continue to fuel his passion for real estate.
Having experienced both the banks and private lending, Samuel considers First National as an opportunity to combine the discipline, stability and resources of the banking world with the efficiencies, creativity, client depth and value creation typically associated with private lending. That fusing of creativity and discipline excites him as he takes on this new challenge.
Working at First National, Samuel feels confident that the company’s focused view of real estate will benefit his network significantly.
